Job Description : The studentship is for a period of four years. This full-time studentship is supported by supported by the Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. This studentship is a four-year award comprising one year of masters-level research training and three years of PhD study, both studied full-time.
Studentship details
This 1+3 CASE studentship will pay tuition fees for four years, an annual tax-free maintenance award of approximately £15,450 per year, plus a further £2,000 stipend and additional funds for research support costs during the 3 PhD years.
Though the studentship commences on 1 October 2010, registration for the MA Research Methods course will take place on Wednesday 22nd September 2010.
Candidates must have a good honours degree in a social science subject (at first or upper second class level). Because of the needs of the project they must have Gujarati language skills. The studentship is open to applicants who have established UK residency.Some knowledge of mental health would be advantageous but is not essential as this can be factored into the training element of the award.

• a personal statement/letter (up to a maximum of two single line-spaced A4 sides) explaining why you want to undertake this project, what you have to offer, and any other information you think we should know
