Post doc in ecology and metagenomics of grapevine endophyte microrganisms

A Postdoc position is available in the Agriculture Area. This project aims at clarifying aspects of microbial ecology underlying the interaction between endophytic microorganisms and the grapevine plant. Among the research objectives are the effects of climate change on ecology, gene expression and agronomic features of the endophytic microflora.

Duties will include designing and performing experiments, data recording and analysis. Communication of results within the research group and to Area meetings is expected. The post holder will keep a detailed, tidy record of experiments and research activity.

The following are advantageous: plant or plant tissue experience; microbial cultures; nucleic acids purification/manipulation; sequence analysis; mutagenesis; gene expression.
