Scholarship Description
Students who would like to pursue their studies at APU are strongly encouraged to apply for the MEXT Scholarship. Applicants for the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarships have to first pass an initial screening held at the Japanese embassy in their home country. Only applicants who pass this initial screening and receive documentation proving that they have passed will be able to move on to the next stage of the application process. When reviewing applications, the university's Admissions Committee considers past academic performance, work and life experience, intellectual ability and other non-quantifiable qualities, such as motivation, self-confidence, leadership, and the ability to cooperate with others. Any kind of professional or extracurricular leadership experience, especially if international in nature, is highly regarded. Applications must have the nationality of a country which has diplomatic relations with Japan
