- Hold a Masters degree with thesis component or an honours degree in Economics or related fields (students with a science or engineering background, who are interested in applying their analytical skills to the study of problems relevant to economics, are also welcome to apply);

- Satisfy all academic requirements for entry to the PhD program including English proficiency levels.
